Are you partaking with the Children of Disobedience?
Apathy and Disobedience. Lukewarm. They are three words that are mentioned in Christian churches liberally.
What does it mean to be lukewarm? And what about In Ephesians 5:5 we are told not to be partakers with the children of disobedience. I always thought that disobedience was simply defined as when you didn’t listen and did contrary to what was God wanted.
Are apathy and disobedience connected? Imagine, to my surprise, when I did a word study for the word disobedience. It originates from the Greek word apatheia, which results in our modern day word, apathy.
Apathy is an absence of passion, emotion, excitement.
A lack of interest or concern.
Doing something without feeling or emotion.
Apathy is disobedience.
Have I become calloused over His redemption?
Am I indifferent to seeking His face in prayer or reading His word?
Does the plight of others leave me shrugging my shoulders without care?

The Creative Process
On this journaling, I placed some large alpha stickers at left spelling out the word apathy.
Then I watered down a bit of acrylic paint with water and sprayed that over the entire page.
Then I swiped some acrylic paint onto my bible page in pinks and blues.
Next I added the tip in, the washi tape and a few die cuts.
