Are you Ready for New Beginnings from Scripture? These Bible Verses on the New Year will help you focus less on your accomplishments and more on what HE has done for you!
January 1st.
Every year, millions of people make new resolutions as big companies cater to the lack of self control that usually focus on food and exercise.
According to Google, the most popular New Year’s resolutions center around eating healthy, exercising and money.
I want to eat healthier.
I want to exercise daily.
I want to sock away ___ amount of money in the new year.
Even Christians have jumped on the bandwagon choosing a word of the year to focus on as they ponder on their dedication to the Lord and apply themselves anew to chase after God.
I want to pray daily.
I want to read my Bible in a year.
I want to be more dedicated to the Lord.

New Beginnings from Scripture- What if it could be different?
But what if I told you it could be different?
What if you could stop running like a hamster on a wheel putting forth all of your effort in relying on yourself for your spiritual goals and accomplishments? Could it really be true?
What if you take the focus off of yourself and put the Lord center stage in the spotlight?
What if you took His Word, prayed it and believed it and applied it to your life?

Bible Verses About the New Year- Putting Jesus First
I’ll be the first to say that in my little corner of the world, life is all about me.
Oh the horrid curse of human nature and our desire to be in the spotlight!
I’m reminded of John the Baptist. His ministry on earth was to be a forerunner and prepare the way of the Lord that pointed solely to Jesus. Every word that he preached pointed to the Messiah, Jesus.
What if we, like John the Baptist, proclaimed, “ He must increase, but I must decrease.”
Nowhere in the Bible will you find Bible verses about the New Year.
But you will find Scriptures that focus on new beginnings, renewal and refreshment.

***Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, – 1 Peter 1:3
God wants us to rely on Him and it’s His desire that we become less and less so He can fill us more.
But there is a danger when we rely upon ourselves and what we do instead of relying on the One who created us to do good works
He wants to fill our lives with HIM and that can only come by simply yielding to Him.No more struggling.
Your works don’t prove your worth.
