  Pentecost marked the conclusion and culmination of the Exodus from Egypt after 50 days and also the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on believers in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost.

These are only my thoughts, and my thoughts alone, but I wonder if there is some nuance of prophecy in this Scripture about Esther going before the King and being Israel’s last hope and Jesus going before God as mankind’s last hope of salvation. It sure seems like it.

Ezekiel 24:1 – “In the ninth year, in the tenth month on the tenth day, the word of the Lord came to me.” Several key prophecies are spoken by Ezekiel. Ezekiel 29:1 and Ezekiel 33:21 again mention the tenth month.

Zechariah 8:19 – “This is what the Lord Almighty says: The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions…”

I love this messianic prophecy foretelling of the coming of the Messiah and how it would be a time of joy and gladness.
