The word pray in the Greek προσεύχομαι/proseuchoma (g4435) means to pray, offer prayers, supplicate (entreate, implore)
The word ceasing in the Greek ἀδιαλείπτως/adialeiptōs (g89) means without intermission, incessantly, without omission,
God has instructed us to ask him, entreat him, implore and pray to Him without stopping, by doing so constantly and continuallywithout leaving out any detail or care.
Prayer isn’t the position of the body. It’s the position of the heart.
Can you find precious moments in your day to foster your prayer life and grow in the Lord?
As I put these to practice in my life I was quite surprised to find that I can pray while doing things I never considered before.
When my eyes open first thing in the morning, I like to take a moment and give God praise for another wonderful day ahead. No matter what comes my way, I know He is with me. I want my day to begin with praise to my Lord and gratitude in my heart.
While Driving
While frazzled in rush hour traffic or driving long distances… praying and worshiping in the car is a wonderful place to bring the needs off friends and family members before the Lord. Since I’m out and about dealing with people, I make it a point to pray for those outside of my family and for people I see on the street. When I come across an automobile accident or sirens, I make it a point to pray for their salvation and physical healing.
In the Kitchen
The center of the home, the kitchen is a wonderful place to pray for yourself. Pray and ask the Lord to give you a servants heart while completing tasks for your family. If the bulk of kitchen chores falls upon you, pray that you have a heart of gratitude and thankfulness and that no root of bitterness spring up in your heart. While at your kitchen window doing dishes, pray for your neighborhood and community. Pray while you are sweeping and mopping the floor.
While Folding Laundry
While you sort and fold laundry, pray for the specific needs of those whose clothing you are folding. Is your daughter having a difficult time in school? Pray for her and her specific needs. And when you fold your own clothing, don’t forget to pray for yourself.
While Picking up/Cleaning
Pray for the sanctity of your home, that everything your family does be pleasing in the sight of the Lord. As you pick up items of family members, lift them up in prayer.
In the Evening
This is one of my most precious times in prayer. Every night upon going to bed, I lay my hands on my husband (unbeknownst to him) and pray for his health, for his daily work and for our marriage. Praying for him helps me to appreciate and love Him and the sacrifice he has made for our family. A few years ago, he nearly died. I always want to give thanks to the Lord for the wonderful blessing of having my hubby with me in this life.
Maybe your life looks a bit different than mine, but I’m sure you can fit new and exciting ways to pray without ceasing.
Are you ready to apply the well known scripture, Pray Without Ceasing to your every day life?

Pray Without Ceasing Bible Journaling Technique
For this Bible Journaling process, I thinly smeared pink and blue acrylic paint on my bible with an old plastic credit promotion card. The words were added with acrylic stamps and the journaling card tip in was taped in using washi tape. I used small letter and decorative stamps in various places as well. Super easy!
Here’s a quick video I posted on Facebook and what it means to pray without ceasing.
