What are June Prayer Points and Why do they Matter?

Have you ever wanted to be more intentional with your walk with God?

Intentional Christian living is based upon three things, praying, reading and studying our Bible and becoming disciples of Jesus by living for Him.

Prayer is basically conversing with, or talking to God. It’s pretty amazing to think we can talk to the God who created the universe.

It’s pretty amazing to think we can talk to the God who created the universe.

Prayer journal prompts are ideas or suggestions of things to pray for. They can be really broad (like praying for peace, or praying for courage), or more specific (like praying for a sick friend, or praying for wisdom in a difficult situation). They’re meant to help you get started with prayer, or to give you a bit of direction if they’re feeling stuck and not quite knowing what to pray for.

These prayer prompts will help:

  • Those who are unsure what to pray for
  • Those who need some creative prayer journal ideas of what to pray for
  • Women who want to pray more consistently
  • women who want to add some creative prayer prompts to their already existing prayer life

When we set prayer goals for our spiritual lives, we must always carry those goals loosely in our hands in case God wants to change them.

How to Pray Effectively in June

Here are some ideas and written prayers for you to pray during the month of June. You can pray them verbatim in your prayer time but I would recommend them being a jumping off point for you to pray your own prayers.

Pray for Salvation

“Dear God, I pray for the salvation of all people. I pray that they would open their hearts to your love, and understand the gift of grace that you offer. I pray that they would come to know your forgiveness, and your desire for them to live in freedom. I pray that they would be set free from sin and death, and experience the joy of eternal life in you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”

Prayer for Forgiveness

“Dear God, I pray for forgiveness for all people. I pray that you would forgive them for their sins and mistakes, and that you would wash them clean. I pray that they would experience your mercy and grace, and that they would be set free from all guilt and shame. I pray that you would help them to forgive themselves, and to let go of any bitterness or resentment they may have. I pray that you would help them to forgive others who have wronged them, and to live in peace and reconciliation.
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.”

Pray for Protection

“Dear God, I pray protection over all of your people. I pray that you would guard them from harm, and keep them safe from all danger. I pray that you would surround them with your love and care, and that you would five them your divine guidance in their lives. I pray the Holy Spirit’s protection over their minds, bodies, and spirits, that they may be kept whole and healthy. I pray that you would guide their steps, and keep them from all evil.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”

Pray for God’s Will and Direction

“Dear God, I pray that you would reveal your will and direction to your people. I pray that they would seek your guidance, and listen to your voice. Lead them in the way they should go, and help them to discern your purpose for their lives. I pray that they would be open to your leading, and willing to follow wherever you may guide. I pray that you would give them wisdom and understanding, and help them to make decisions that honor you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”

Prayer for Strength

“Dear God, I pray for strength upon your people. I pray that you would give them the strength to overcome all obstacles and difficulties in their lives. I pray that you would give them the strength to persevere in times of hardship, and the strength to keep going when they feel like giving up. I pray that you would give them the strength to be bold in their faith, and to live out their convictions. I pray that you would give them the strength to be compassionate and loving to others, and to live lives that honor you.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.”

Prayer for Healing

“Dear God, I pray for healing for your children to be healed because healing is the children’s bread. I pray that you would heal them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I pray that you would bring them healing and wholeness in every area of their lives. I pray that you would heal their bodies of all illness and disease, and that you would bring them peace and comfort. I pray that you would heal their hearts and minds, and bring them joy and happiness. I pray that you would heal their souls, and bring them into a relationship with you.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”

Prayer for Guidance

“Dear God, I pray for guidance for all people. I pray that you would guide them in all of their decisions and choices. I pray that you would lead them on the right path, and that they would seek your will for their lives. I pray that you would give them wisdom and understanding, and help them to make the best decisions possible. I pray that you would give them discernment and insight, and that they would be able to see things from your perspective. I pray that you would guide them through every situation and circumstance, and that they would always look to you for guidance.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.”

Prayer for Peace

“Dear God, I pray for you peace to pass all understanding in the hearts and lives of your believers. I pray that you would bring peace to their hearts and minds. I pray that you would bring them a sense of calm and tranquility in their lives.
