The truth of God’s word never changes, and that also means that His view of what a Godly woman should be doesn’t change, fluctuate or waver.
We live in a day and age where the Bible is considered old fashioned. Even some mainstream churches have forsaken the veracity of God’s word and only accept it as far as they feel comfortable. They don’t believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and it makes my heart sick.

Proverbs 27:17 says,

How exactly can you become a Godly woman?
Being a godly woman isn’t just about going to church on Sundays and reciting Scripture. Those things are GREAT qualities… but let’s not forget that all the things we DO for our Lord Jesus are only a result of who we are.
Your works can’t save you. They are only a result of the salvation the Lord has bestowed upon you! Isn’t that reassuring?
While writing and researching this article, I sent out a poll to my readers asking what made them godly. (If you participated in the poll, thank you from the bottom of my heart!)
I was so pleased at the confidence of you lovely ladies proclaiming that you were a woman of God! Praise the Lord!
But something saddened my heart as I saw some responses about what made you godly.
Here are some of the responses:
“It’s the way I live my life. And one important thing, I always put God first in my life.”
“I try to be a good person by helping others and follow the commandments.”
“I spend time in prayer and studying God’s word. I try my best to do what the word says.”
If your response is mentioned above, I am not calling you out in a spiteful way. On the contrary, These answers can prove to be wonderful life lessons that all of us can learn and grow by! Amen!
So here’s the important truth:
God made the temple in the Old Testament as a beautiful place for His presence to dwell in. And then there were the vessels (cups and bowls) that He would perform the sacrifices with. He made those vessels holy and they were fit for the work of the Lord.
Sister. WE are the vessels of God. HE has made us holy.
This vessel is meant to contain God and the human person is symbolized as a vessel of God that HE FILLS! Please pray and ask the Lord to help that truth from His word to sink in!
By the which will we are sanctified (made holy, set apart) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

God filled you with His Spirit because He redeemed you. Period. End of story. 🙂 It wasn’t because you followed the 10 commandments, read your Bible or tried to be a good person.
He saved you by grace, set you apart and made you holy!!
